OIT STRATEGIC ROADMAP

Transform

Fostering excellence in teaching and learning and building an engaged, agile workforce for the future is only possible through forward-thinking transformation in all aspects of campus life. OIT is a dedicated partner to our campus units, but equally important is our ability to act as a guiding source toward what comes next in technology.

Streamlining Research Tools

Smoother Process

The creation and implementation of a new dashboard for clinical research projects will allow researchers to focus on research, not administrative processes. In addition, a modernization of the Kuali Research Conflict of Interest portal and a new research protection protocol management platform is planned, simplifying critical processes while removing undue administrative burden.

Mobile First

Through ONECard, OIT will help deliver key services to students digitally so they can study and live on campus in a modern, streamlined way. Integrating applications from across the campus with the ONECard platform will allow students to move seamlessly between venues and events while providing the campus with valuable insights into student engagement.

Data-Empowered Community

Compass Teaching and Learning Analytics (TLA) will continue to provide dashboards and reports for advisors, instructors, and academic leaders. Compass Explorer will organize the portfolio of campus-wide tools and provide a dynamic interface to help users access the tools that will be most helpful to them.

Upgraded Technologies for the Future

OIT will lead the implementation of the UC Gender Recognition and Lived Name policy to ensure all members of the community interact with systems that recognize their accurate gender identity and lived name.

Robust Reporting

A new data mart for human resources will merge historical data with UC Path data for cross-year analytical reporting.
